Opis Produktu
New Generation of Vacuum Glazing – INSIO® and CLIMAPLUS® INSIO®
As part of the collaboration between Saint-Gobain Glass and LuxWall, Saint-Gobain Glass has integrated LuxWall’s transparent insulation technology into its groundbreaking INSIO® solution — marking a significant step forward in transforming the building industry towards energy-efficient construction.
INSIO® is an innovative vacuum glazing solution designed to deliver exceptional thermal and acoustic insulation. At its core lies a 0.3 mm vacuum cavity sealed between two glass panes, dramatically reducing heat loss compared to conventional double or triple insulating glass units.
Thanks to the use of tempered safety glass, INSIO® requires fewer micro-spacers, resulting in a crystal-clear design and an ultra-low Ug-value — even lower than that of the best triple glazing units. Combined with a low-emissivity coating, INSIO® offers superior energy performance and refined aesthetics, making it the ideal choice for sustainable buildings, renovation projects, and prestigious architectural developments.
CLIMAPLUS® INSIO® combines the breakthrough thermal insulation of INSIO® transparent insulation with a standard insulating glass unit. By integrating INSIO® within a conventional IGU—featuring a standard spacer bar and an additional glass pane—CLIMAPLUS® INSIO® maintains typical unit thickness, simplifying installation in existing window systems while delivering outstanding thermal insulation performance without any design constraints.
The additional glass pane can be selected from the extensive Saint-Gobain Glass portfolio to meet specific project requirements, ensuring thermal comfort, acoustic insulation, solar control, or aesthetic qualities. This flexible configuration allows CLIMAPLUS® INSIO® to deliver an exceptional level of insulation, perfectly tailored to diverse architectural and technical needs.

Zastosowanie
Energy-Efficient Buildings and the Future of Glazing
Energy-efficient buildings are setting new standards for windows and glazing systems. Enhanced thermal insulation often comes with increased weight, thickness, and carbon footprint of the glass, which can complicate installation or lead to inefficient use of materials.
INSIO® provides flexible solutions that meet the stringent requirements for glazing in low-energy and high-performance buildings:
- INSIO® can replace existing glazing within the original window frame – ideal for energy retrofit projects or the restoration of heritage buildings, where maintaining the original frame is essential.
- CLIMAPLUS® INSIO® can be used like any traditional insulating glass unit in cases of complete window replacement, whether in renovation or new construction projects, ensuring high energy efficiency and meeting the demands of advanced window designs.
Benefity
Outstanding thermal insulation, exceeding the performance of the best triple glazing units:
The heat transfer coefficient (Ug) reaches 0.5 or 0.3 W/m²K, depending on the version of INSIO® and the choice of counterpane glass in CLIMAPLUS® INSIO®.
Slim profile:
INSIO® is significantly thinner and lighter than conventional triple glazing, making it suitable for renovations and heritage buildings where frame depth is limited.
The standard INSIO® version has a thickness of 10 mm, with 8 mm and 12 mm options available on request.
Thanks to its thin construction, INSIO® can be easily integrated into a CLIMAPLUS® INSIO® insulating glass unit, providing enhanced thermal and acoustic performance.
Easy replacement:
CLIMAPLUS® INSIO® can be seamlessly integrated into any existing window frame, facilitating straightforward retrofitting.
Excellent acoustic performance:
Comparable to double or triple glazing units. Certified acoustic measurement for INSIO® 10 mm is 36(-2;-3) dB.
Energy efficiency:
Both INSIO® and CLIMAPLUS® INSIO® significantly reduce the energy demand for heating and cooling, contributing to lower energy bills and greater building sustainability.
