DESCRIPTION
Wisdome was announced as the winner the most prestigious reward within Swedish architecture in 2024 – Kasper Salin. A main reason was the ingenious roof construction, that made the building look rather low, even though it hosts a huge dome cinema inside.
CHALLENGES
The timber constructions also holds impressive windows six meter long. Clarity of glass was essential to the architect but solar control glass was advised by the energy consultants to improve comfort of indoor.
SOLUTIONS
Wisdome façade`s installed IGU configuration 10 mm solar control glass COOL-LITE® SKN 183 II – 16 mm argon – 17mm STADIP® PROTECT 88.2 on extra-clear DIAMANT®. The view through is absolutely brilliant, and the low outside reflection is more stable in color than for low e glass. The energy absorbed in the outer pane also help prevent thermal breakage in inner pane. Solar control glass COOL-LITE® SKN 183 has become a favorite among architects designing villas in Sweden. Because of the great combination of clarity and thermal comfort the coating brings.
