Nowy Rynek budynek D
Wierzbięcice Poznań Poland
DESCRIPTION
Located in the heart of Poznań’s rapidly developing district, this multi-phase investment aims to bring to life a vision of durable, energy-efficient, and barrier-free architecture through the implementation of innovative solutions. The emerging quarter is designed to meet environmental and aesthetic standards while primarily enhancing user comfort by adopting the mixed-use development concept.
Within a short walking distance, residents have access to essential services that improve both daily life and work convenience while ensuring a connection with nature. The façade design is based on shaping the building’s external walls to maximize natural light inside while minimizing the adverse effects of external climate conditions. This approach allows for more efficient energy management within the building.
Building D of the complex will be the first office building in the region to receive WELL certification—one of the most demanding systems that assess the quality of office spaces.
CHALLENGES
- Selecting glass that meets a wide range of physical properties and parameters defined by specialists from various industries while minimizing unwanted reflectivity.
- Ensuring a healthy indoor climate within the building.
SOLUTIONS
- The extensive use of glass enhanced transparency and softened the monumental character of the urban plot surrounded by the historic architecture of Wilda.
- The installation of COOL-LITE® SKN 165 II solar control glass on the façade significantly reduced the building’s energy demand.
- Solar heat is blocked, minimizing the need for additional cooling during summer.
- The thermal insulation properties of the glazing reduce heat loss in winter while ensuring optimal daylight access throughout the year.
